RUTLANDS ONYX
Pure Black Medium

Sire: Rutlands Nirvana

(exported to the UK )

Dam: Tegan Park Irish Opal

Onyx has been responsible for more people falling in love with the beautiful Blacks than even his paternal grandmother Rutlands Mountain Maid and she had a following of many fans of the Black is Beautiful brigade.  Blacks are more difficult to photograph than most other colors and I think this is why some folk think they don't want one.....until that is they actually meet one in person!

Onyx must have thought his name was "Oooh Ahhhh"   or  "Gorgeous"  while he was growing up.  everyone he met said the same things over and over again!

Onyx is possibly the most perfectly balanced dog I have ever seen, and definitely that I have ever bred.  His conformation is so perfectly balanced that he can not look 'wrong' no matter how he stands or sits.  His glossy pure black coat catches the light in a way that makes him look almost luminous.  Quite stunning.  And with his heritage of proven Therapy lines his nature and mind are also above criticism.  I personally dislike the 'kennel blindness' syndrome and am more critical of the dogs I breed than those of other breeders, but it is really difficult to find faults in young Onyx who turned twelve months old on 14th April 2007.
